Matariki

Matariki is the name of a group fo stars that appear in winter night sky. It marks the beginning of Maori new year which is a for people to celebrate.


There are lots of different ways to celebrate Matariki. I love singing Maori song with my family and dance with my friends inga and Leiiani and Paige and I share Kai.

Our trees

Trees supply oxygen help us to breathe. They provide homes for wildlife and shelter for everything.


From faraway the macrocarpa look like walking trees with their strong branches.

Morning walk

When I was walking, I saw a Tui up the tree sing a beautiful song. I saw a brown horse running around with a girl. Then we went to class 14. I like having a great walk.
